🌍✨ Exciting News from Botetourt! ✨🌍
We are thrilled to announce that twenty-five fourth and fifth graders from Botetourt have become the first participants from Gloucester in the World Peace Game! 🎉 This hands-on political simulation allows students to dive into the complexities of our global community, tackling pressing economic, social, and environmental issues while navigating the challenges of potential conflict.
In the game, students form “nation teams” with the mission to extricate their countries from dangerous situations and strive for global prosperity with minimal military intervention. They’ll learn firsthand how essential information is in decision-making, as the game can only be won through collaboration and teamwork. Together, they must solve over 23 real-life crises, ensuring that all nations prosper and maintain at least their starting resources. 💪🌎
A big thank you to Ms. Murphy and Ms. Taylor for bringing these amazing experiences to our students. We’re already looking forward to future games scheduled for Bethel and Peasley later this year! Stay tuned for more updates on our young leaders in action! 🌟
