Duke Update November 06, 2022
School closures: Tuesday, November 8th is a teacher workday as it is election day and no school for students. Friday, November 11th is Veteran's Day and school is closed for both students and staff.
Federal forms were handed out to students on Friday, November 4th. Families are required to fill out a form for each student and return it to school.
Document Delivery: Report cards will be distributed on Tuesday, November 15 through the Document Delivery system. Instructions for parents and guardians will be sent on Monday, November 7, via email, Canvas, and the school website.
Girls' basketball season starts November 7. Tryouts on Monday are from 4:30 to 6:00 and Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00. See Coach Eaton for more information. GHS Ladies Soccer will have an interest meeting on November 17th at 3:15 in the Duke Café’ at GHS. All Ladies who are interested in playing soccer for the Varsity or JV GHS Ladies' teams should plan on attending this meeting.
The BayPort Credit Union office in C-hall is open during 3rd block on Mondays and Wednesdays. Stop by and open an account, and you will get a free $5.00 put into your account, and be entered in a drawing to win a gift card.
Winter sports tryouts start Monday, November 7th for Girls' & Boys' Basketball, Wrestling, Swimming. Track & Field will start November 14th. Coaches emails are listed on the GHS website. Students must meet grade eligibility requirements and have a valid sports physical on file.
GHS Indoor Track and Field for 22-23 season will begin on Monday, November 14. Any students that are currently in the 8th- 12th grades are welcome to come tryout. Tryouts will last the week of Monday, Nov 14th through Friday, Nov. 18th. Friday November 18 the final roster will be made. Student-athletes who try out will need to have a current updated physical, be 2.0 GPA eligible, and be
motivated to work hard! Practices will be at the GHS stadium from 3:15 - 5:15 each day.

4758. The current price is $50. There will be a price increase to $55 on 1/4/23. Senior ads are also available through the order center until 3/1/23. The yearbook sold out last year, so make sure to order before it’s too late! Contact Lauren Leszczynski, the yearbook advisor with any additional questions.
Parking Passes: Parking passes for the 2022-2023 school year are on sale now and can be purchased in the Gloucester High School main office. The cost for a parking pass is $52 dollars, via online thru School cash online site, cash, check, or money order made out to Gloucester High School. Please go to the Gloucester High School website to print out and complete the 2022-2023 Student parking pass application prior to coming into the main office to purchase your parking pass. If you purchase your pass using the School cash online site, make sure to bring in proof of the receipt, along with the completed 2022-2023 Student parking pass application. Students will be able to choose a numbered parking space
on a first-come, first-serve basis until all parking spots are sold for the 2022-2023 school year.
