March is known nationally as music in our school month. We normally have a MIOSM concert at the high school with all our schools participating. The 5th graders audition to be in the all county choir that is about 50 students from 5 elementary schools. Achilles had about 30 students audition for 10 spots. The music teachers found out after the school year had started that the auditorium at the high school would be under renovation. We were not able to find a venue large enough to host all the students and their families in order to do a traditional concert this year. We did not want the students to miss out on the experience so we put together a day of music hosted by Page middle school. The students played music games, sang warmups, heard performances and rehearsed and performed with the middle and high school students. All the students were so excited about this experience.
