The Chesapeake Bay Governor's School

For Highly Motivated and Talented Students 
** Interested in, or have an aptitude for, MATH, SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY
** For Sophomore, Juniors and Seniors (attend in Grades 10-12)
** Attend CBGS for half the school day -- and GHS classes in the afternoon

The Written Prompt and MAP assessment required for CBGS will be scheduled and administered by Division staff after the Feb. 1st application deadline. Please complete the parent/student portion and request teacher recommendations by Feb. 1st.

Governor's School for Science and Technology

Providing a Distinguished Science Curriculum to the Region's Gifted High School Students 

GSST Program School Profile
** Science and Mathematics Half Day Program for Juniors and Seniors (attend Grades 11-12)
** Held at New Horizons Education Center, Butler Farm Rd, Hampton
** Two-Year -- Half Day Program—attend GSST for the morning, GHS classes in the afternoon.

10th grade students should start the application process by Feb. 1st. Submission due by Feb. 28th via the online portal.

Summer Governor's School Programs

Middle Peninsula Summer Regional Governor's School (MPSRGS)

 ** For Gifted Students Currently in Grades 3-7
 ** Sponsored by Virginia Department of Education and GCPS
 ** Problem-Based Classes 

The 2023 MPSRGS has canceled the summer session this year due to teacher shortage. Hopefully, they will be able to provide this opportunity to our students in the Summer of 2024.
